Antithetical Love in Jane Austenââ¬â¢s Pride and Prejudice
Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy, the main characters of Jane Austenââ¬â¢s Pride and Prejudice, hate each other upon their first meeting but by the end of the novel are happily married. Elizabeth Bennet, protagonist, is developed through her interactions with antithetical characters: sisters and mother. Mr. Darcy is developed through events in the novel, his friends, and the Bennet family. Societies view creates irony and further contrasts which help to bring the novel to its climatic ending. Jane Austen is a very reclusive writer. Who is known for covering up her work if interrupted, because she did not want anyone to know she was a novelist. Mr. Darcy is prideful, rich, reclusive, and of high society where Elizabeth is cordial and of the common people. Mrs. Bennet is very selfish, controlling, and dramatic, yet Elizabeth is down- to- earth. Lydia Bennet is immature and elopes while Elizabeth is mature and looking for love. Jane, the oldest sister, says she wishes to marry for love yet she marries for money. The contrasts between Elizabeth and her family set her apart as if she is special. Elizabeth Bennet serves two roles in the novel. The two roles create irony and continue to show the antithesis. ââ¬Å"Elizabeth is either a proto-feminist or a fairy-tale heroineâ⬠(Copeland 54). She is a proto-feminist in that she is very modern in her thinking. For example, she is looking to marry for love which is very modern in her time. Women of her status were to marry for money as to go up in social class. She is also the fairy-tale heroine because she gets both love and money in Mr. Darcy. She is the heroine because she is deciding on the right man to marry, but begins with a misconception before her successful marriage (Anderson 233). The two roles are created through her being the narrator but only for part of the novel. Most of the time when she is narrator, she is seen as a proto-feminist. When she is not narrator, Elizabeth is mainly seen as the heroine because at this point in the novel Mr. Darcy and she are falling in love. Cold, malicious, and haughty

Suicide Is The Leading Cause Of Deaths Of Adolescents
Suicide is the leading cause of deaths of adolescents in Australia. In 2005, it was estimated that deaths caused by suicide was accounted for one- fifth of deaths among teenagers (Life communications, 2012) in 2012 it was estimated that 1,901 (16.8 per 100,000) males and 634 females (5.6 per 100,000) lives were lost due to suicide, which roughly calculates to seven deaths a day thatââ¬â¢s caused suicide (Lifeline, 2010) and those who committed suicide seventy five percent were males while the other twenty five percent were females. In Australia between 2009 and 2013 the highest suicide rates among the adolescent male and females were found in the Northern Territory (17.6 per 100,000) then Tasmania (14.0 per 100,000) followed by Western Australia (13.4 per 100,000, Queensland (13.3 per 100,000), South Australia (11.9 per 100,000), Victoria (9.4 per 100,000), Australian Capital Territory (9.1 per 100,000) lastly New South Wales with the lowest suicide rates in Australia (9.1 per 10 0,000) (Hunter Institute of Mental Health, nd). Receptor-mediated endocytosis is the process wherethere are interactions between a material and receptor sites on the cell. Inthis process the cell accepts the material if it matches with the receptorsites. f) Coated pits are areas which peripheral proteins indent the membrane. This is where the vesicles for certain materials are formed. The vesicle whichis formed is called the coated vesicle. g) Plasmodesmata are the links whichhold two adjacent cells together. Gap junctions are the channels which allowmaterials to flow between cells. 2. The concentration gradient is the differencein the density of a material from one region to another region. Theconcentration gradient affects diffusion by allowing the substance to flow fromhigh concentration to low concentration. The concentration gradient affectsosmosis by the same manner it does in diffusion. The cell does not allow thesolution to exit the cell when water is entering. This keeps the solution in thecell making the concentration high and thus no further penetration of water. 4. Diffusion is more rapid in gases because they are less dense than liquids. Theyrepel each other more resulting in faster diffusion. Diffusion is greater athigher temperatures because of the greater kinetic energy among the molecules. They push each other more making them less dense. 5. The concentration of thesolute is 1%. This happens because a 1% sugar solution is isotonic with that ofthe 1% sugar solution in the tubes. The 2% sugar solution was increased becausethe substance was hypertonic. The membrane did not allow the hypertonic solutionto exit because the pressure from the hypotonic solution was forcing water in. This later reached an equilibrium when the hypertonic solution was gaining waterpotential and the water stopped rising. The vice versa happened in the distilledwater solution.
